OBJECTIVES
Two-day regionally organised course introducing the candidates to the techniques and safety
requirements of classroom and swimming pool lessons. Based mostly in the classroom candidates are divided into small syndicates to develop theory and skills presentation techniques, build confidence and learn to deliver a given subject in a progressive and constructive manner. Some swimming pool work delivering skill lessons.

Successful candidates may take club trainees through pool training and lectures on theory or skills up
to their own diver grade under the guidance of a Club Instructor or higher. They may not assist in
open water instruction.
